Description for men:

A dark and light suit is a dressy outfit but not as dressed up as a tailcoat or tuxedo, you wear a dark or light suit with a tie or bow tie. You can also wear a vest with your suit if you want extra layers.

Description for women:

As a woman, it is unfortunately not as easy to interpret this dress code, but what you should keep in mind is that you should wear a dress or skirt. Usually, this dress code says that you should be dressed up but not “too fancy”. But we say, let go of that thought, you can’t be too dressed up at this wedding. We like to see you dress up real fancy if you want to and preferably with a dress that is from the knees down.

Your dress does not have to cover the shoulders and you can have a generous neckline if you want. The bride will wear white so we appreciate if you do not try to match that color, but otherwise you can dress in any color (yes glitter is a color), even red and black. For those who want to match with the bridesmaids, they will wear long dresses in mixed pastel colors.

If you are still unsure, just contact the bride or groom and ask. But no matter what you wear, you must not forget the most important thing…really comfortable shoes for the dancing later in the evening!
